PIMR was formed by UCLA Clinical Faculty in 1982 to facilitate conducting research in Neuroscience, Psychiatry and related disciplines. Over the years the Institute received over 5 M in research grants and donations. With this resources PIMR conducted or facilitated over 100 of studies in the field of Clinical Psychopharmacology and neuroscience. Many of current pharmacological agents or devices for the treatment of anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, migraine and Alzheimer’s disease were developed with the help of PIMR.
Currently PIMR is actively participating in research.
PIMR partners with the Tiny Blue Dot Foundation to facilitate the research in consciousness.
